Studio Philosophy
People are happier when they can express themselves.
Creativity brings people together.
Art and music is a way to build and refine the creative skills that help us learn to get to know ourselves, which helps us learn to connect with others.
It takes time and persistence to develop creative skills.
Group workshops focus on including the following elements:
Practice Time - Focus on technical skills
Reflection Time - Look inward and write, draw, process emotions as they are
Research Time - Learn from others in the world
Circle Time - Share, give feedback, listen, question, have a conversation
Wherever possible, we will include:
Halfway-point student check in
Halfway-point parent check in (if applicable)
End-of-session written feedback to student/family as relevant
And, we always welcome student and family feedback and questions at any time.
